Personal Background
I was born in Ghanaian village and raised in Toronto. As the product of Toronto Schools and Community programs my focus in building high growth startups that provide opportunities to youth and early professionals.
Educational Background
I am a product of Toronto District public schools and University fo Windsor. I studied Sociology with a minor in economics because I also hoped to be good with people and business/finance.
What I Love About My Field
People. I love building coalitions and partnerships that solve a collective problem. Collaboration excited me most and any chance I get to work with amazing people (personally or professionally) is a dream.
Career Progression
I began my career with Fedex from entry level to executive leadership. The key steps for me were starting in entry level sales sharpening my business development and marketing skills and grew to people leadership. I chose/was chosen by amazing mentors along the way who truly helped uplevel me throughout my career.
Keeping It Real
Access to information and opportunities have been the biggest challenges throughout my career. I have leveraged personal relationships and connections to their trusted networks to help close gaps in my access. This really highlights the benefit of forming partnership with great people throughout my journey.
